Getting stoned...with my tone stone.

I recently encountered this NEED to get this beautiful Gua sha tone stone by the brand Biodara that I found in FLOW Miami one afternoon.

For those who do not know of this tool, a tone stone, is used with the Gua sha technique of massaging the skin with pressure in order to increase circulation in different parts of the body.

This ancient technique comes all the way from China, and has become more popular in western culture since the growth of the Wellness industry.

A lot of holistic beauty brands have started making these beautiful gadgets in different shapes, and with different kinds of crystals.

You can find these tone stones in Jade, Rose quartz, and sometimes Carnelian.

The most popular in the market is the Jade tone stone because of its tradition.

*Jade is known to be a stone that helps with inflammation because of its cooling properties.

I got this particular tone stone not only for its usual use, but also because of its integrated comb. You are able to use this stone not just on the skin, but also on the scalp for a soothing and stress free affect. I like to think that I am also benefiting my crown chakra from the healing properties of the Jade stone.

I love to keep in in the fridge for a extra cooling touch, along with a little of my favorite face oils by Odacite in the morning, at night, and even just on my free time.

To me its the ultimate self care tool. I AM IN LOVE.

I took it with me as my travel skin care tool in my recent trip to New York and it made me feel like I had carried a pocket spa with me.

I find it to be the perfect travel hang over remedy for the skin as well.

Check it out.

XOXO,

M

Yoga is my therapy, movement is my medicine, peace is my goal.

I experienced the loss of my father right before my first year of college.

I was leaving home, moving to NYC to pursue an education and a career in art. At the same time, I was experiencing the death of a parent.

I was caught between two feelings.

What was once the excitement and ecstasy of taking on the biggest adventure of my life was suddenly replaced with trauma, loneliness, and fear.

I needed to shut the world off for a minute. It was all going too fast...

I decided to start taking yoga to find some stillness, some clarity, a moment of quiet before leaving to New York that summer.

I didn't understand much of it then other than the silence that it brought my mind lead to some healing in my heart. Little did I know this practice would change my entire life.

I want you to know that healing is possible. Its a journey.

I hope that through my sharing of personal experiences with these rituals and practices, you are able to heal those wounds, and become stronger.

I see you. I hear you. I'm with you.
